Victory Road. A beautiful region, with many wonderful Pokemon and people. Everything was calm, peaceful, and lively. Professor Leif and his assistants kept everything running smoothly for the trainers, and the Rangers protected the Pokemon of the area from any small mishaps that might befall them. The worst disaster any of them had ever heard of was a group of Zangoose and Seviper fighting. Too bad that wouldn't last forever...[break][break]
It's common knowledge these days that the leaders of the two opposing factions used to know each other. Professor Leif and Arcania were friends when they were growing up, but friendship failed to get them through the events that happened a few years ago. Ancient artefacts, created who knows how long ago, began to appear throughout the region. By using these stones, anyone could control the power of a Pokemon. Suddenly, mere humans were given the power to surpass even Pokemorphs, and no longer needed Pokemon. Naturally, Leif wanted to gather the artefacts to lock them away and keep them safe from those who would use them to cause harm. Arcania, however, had darker ideas. She wished to use the stones to control the region, claiming that they would be unstoppable if only they could find one belonging to a Legendary Pokemon. This dissent caused a rift between the pair, separating them to this day.[break][break]
Now, the race is on. Team Desarroi strives to gather the artefacts and rule the region, and in the meantime are causing as much chaos and unrest as possible to allow them to move more easily. Divided they fall is their motto, and power is what they seek. Those under the Professor and the Rangers are trying desperately to stop them and to gather all the artefacts before they can, but how long will it be before someone uncovers one of the powerful Legendary artefacts? Whoever finds one first could change the fate of the entire region...[break][break]
